I do! Well, sort of. In a way that didn't have dire catastrophic consequences to the timeline and all that, but I did have a time-travel-ish experience while painting. I made a short video to explain it. If you are TL;DW (too long, didn't watch😉), I reworked a 4-year-old painting, and it became a portal connecting then and now.
The cool thing about this experience was living in the emotions of what I was experiencing then and the emotions of where I am today. It was a meeting of emotional minds. It was pretty incredible.
Speaking of back in time... one of my recent paintings, 'Altogether Joy', was selected to participate in an art and floral show at The Pablo Center a couple of weeks ago. Out of 150 submissions, my work was selected as one of the 25 pieces in the art exhibit. It was a lot of fun to be included. The florist who created an arrangement to accompany my art did a lovely job. She even included embroidery thread in it! Brilliant! You can take a peek at the flowers and my artwork here.
I'm sitting at our kitchen island while writing to you. It's hazy outside—the smoke from Canada's wildfires has smudged our skies. My thoughts are with the firefighters, and I'm sending out wishes for friendly weather that will help them contain the fires. We are together on this beautiful planet of ours... what impacts you, impacts me. For the next month, I'm donating 25% of any artwork I sell (more paintings coming soon) to Red Cross Canada.
