Good morning! Happy last day of October.
I've discovered a joy in spending time sketching from photos is getting to spend time in my mind in the location. The first sketch is a photo from Scotland. And the second is from Encinitas, California.
I am feeling freer and more relaxed as I practice these sketches. I'm not sure when I will venture back to canvas. Being in my sketchbook feels like the right place to be as I give my mind, hand-eye coordination, and creativity the space to explore, play, and be.
I can't remember if I told you that I'm working with an art business coach right now. She encouraged me to build up a body of work and to spend as close to 40 hrs a week sketching, painting, and just being in my creative space. Developing a body of work feels intimidating. I have to remind myself that the work of it is simply being in the headspace, with patience for my process, and to just keep working. βΊοΈπͺπ»
